La Redoute has just launched its first ever in-house sofa. The French homeware and fashion brand’s Pieta sofa is a modern take on Parisian styles. The Pieta is now available to shop online.

What’s most exciting about this release is that it signals a new era for the brand. They’ve confirmed that they are releasing two more sofa designs, Odna and Nuria, later this year to expand the collection. But what does it tell us about the design scene? About The Pieta Sofa and Upcoming Launches
Part of La Redoute’s Les Irrésistibles collection, the Pieta sofa is a mid-century modern style sculptural sofa. Legless and upholstered in soft velvet with medium-firm seat and back cushions, it’s perfect for a post-work lie down.

Available in cream and blue, the sofa seats three and is characterised by rounded edges and square button tufting. It strays away from the traditional sofa style and shape to present something fun, bubbly (pun intended) and subtly stylish.
