We’ve talked a lot about how 2026 is going to go. With nostalgic designs, quiet resets and a focus on nature, it’s not complete if we don’t talk about the flowers that are dominating the decor market this year.

If we’re to go by research from artificial florals brand The Faux Flower Company, the leading flower this year would make Pantone very happy. It’s the white hydrangea, which fits the turn towards neutral, biophilic design.

Rachel Dunn, Head of Product at The Faux Flower Company, shares why the white hydrangea is doing so well using The Faux Flower Company’s sales data and gives us some suggestions for adding florals to a space on a budget.

“White hydrangeas have a timeless elegance that makes them one of the most versatile florals you can style in any home,” Rachel says.

Being dense and rotund at the head, part of their allure is their fullness. They pair nicely with thin flowers to create layers and focal points and don’t overwhelm an arrangement.

“Their full, cloud-like heads create instant impact, but in a very soft, understated way. Plus, they work beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors making them an ideal gift.”

If you love the look of flowers but aren’t keen on having to spend time and money to replace them, quality artificial flowers may work for you.

“Faux flowers are everlasting,” Rachel continues, “making them a sustainable alternative for those who love the look of fresh florals.”

Hand-made and hand-painted, The Faux Flower Company’s bouquets are made to look like the real deal.

“The detail in each of our faux stems is incredible,” Rachel says. “Each one has been designed to perfectly mimic real blooms, and like nature, no two are ever the same.”
