Homebase’s beloved real Christmas trees will be stocked in The Range again this year.
This year, the two retailers have taken their partnership in a new direction. With the launch of Garden Centre, Homebase will sell their iconic real Christmas trees in The Range Superstores. From Nordmann Firs to Noble Firs, ranging in size from 5ft to 8ft, they will offer a full collection of UK and Irish-grown trees prices starting from just £19.99.
The trees, along with wreaths and other foliage, will be available to shop in store at The Range Superstore’s UK locations from today, the 24th November.
About The Collection

There were concerns about limited Christmas tree farm supplies due to the unusually hot and dry summer we’ve had in the UK this year, but Homebase have been able to deliver.
They are stocking the Nordmann Fir, 5ft to 8ft in height and well-known for its needle retention, the Fraser Fir, characterised by a slim profile, soft needles and a rich festive scent, and the Noble Fir, a tree with silvery-blue needles and strong branches which they recommend for heavy hanging decorations.
The in-store-only displays go against the grain of the online shopping culture. They are confident in the quality and are inviting consumers to see for themselves.

An Expert Guide to Real Tree Care

Drawing from over 45 years of gardening expertise, Homebase’s has some tips to keep your tree flourishing. Before bringing your real tree inside, you should saw a small section off of the base. They recommend cutting the trunk (2.5cm maximum) to allow it to absorb water when it’s placed on a stand. You should water the tree regularly and top up the water in the stand as you would with houseplants. To avoid damaging your floors and furniture and manage any excess water, they recommend placing a saucer under the potted tree.
They also advise against placing the tree near radiators or fireplaces. Heat will dry out a real tree and cause the needles (greenery on fir trees) to fall. Trees shouldn’t be brought in too early else they can dry out before the big day. They recommend leaving them outside as long as you can to maintain their freshness and vibrance.
