My Furniture has blessed us with yet another release. Although not a range like their new lighting and seating, it is just as chic and affordable.

The product? The Zzofa—A sofa bed that they say is so easy to convert that “even a child can do it”. Unlike traditional sofa beds, it has no mechanism to change it from sofa to bed. It’s just two upholstered parts, the backrest and seat, that can be flipped and locked together to create a bed or sofa.

About The Zzofa Sofa Bed

“We consistently hear from customers how cumbersome and difficult sofa bed designs can be,” Dimitri Pappas, Managing Director at My Furniture, says. “With the Zzofa, we set out to create a piece that was not only beautiful and incredibly comfortable but also genuinely effortless to use. We believe the ‘so easy a child can do it’ mechanism is a true game-changer for homeowners and apartment dwellers alike.”

The Zzofa is perfect for guest rooms and studio apartments as it doesn’t take up as much space as traditional sofa beds. Other products are more complicated to assemble. They also convert to a bed vertically, meaning that coffee tables and other decor would need to be moved out of the way.

This sofa bed converts horizontally, taking up minimal space in front of the sofa and not increasing in width at the sides either. You don’t need to push furniture aside to sleep. With an 178 x 100cm area, it uses the optimal amount of space for comfort (10cm wider than a standard single bed but 12cm shorter as most people aren’t tall enough to need more length than this).

At just £274.99, The Zzofa is now available to shop online and currently comes in light taupe cord fabric. Could there be scope for more colours and styles in the future? Subscribe to Broke in Tweed to be the first to know!
