Desenio has announced the release of not one but three new art collections—Spicy Revival, Curated Calm and Evolving Traditions—all merging the provocative art of 70s and early 20th Century impressionist and abstract art.
The collections, now available online, all serve different purposes. The key difference between the collections is their colourways. Spicy Revival lives up to its name with warm, rust reds and contrasting blues and greens all pointing to 70s revival design. Curated Calm leans buttery and botanical with more colours and motifs found in nature while Evolving Traditions maintains a muted colourway but incorporates vintage blues and wood tones, inspired by the country house.
All produced in Sweden, the prints are not only from the Stockholm Atelier—Desenio has banded together artists both of our time and times past to produce art for the modern home. From Van Gogh to KH Studio, the mix of relatively contemporary styles challenge norms, mix natural and geometric motifs and would look great in any home trying to make a statement.

”Spicy Revival is for those drawn to the expressive freedom of the 1970s but want a curated, modern twist,” Annica Wallin, Executive Creative Director at Desenio says. “The key is contrast—warm leathers and woods set a grounded base, while vibrant blues elevate and refresh.” On the other hand, “Curated Calm distils the essence of quiet luxury.” she explains. “The artworks have a softness that invites pause, while chrome accents or sculptural steel details introduce a contemporary tension. It’s a modern minimalism that doesn’t feel cold, but elevated and human.”
Of Evolving Traditions, Annica says, “This trend invites personality into tradition. It’s about blending what’s inherited with what’s new—vintage wood furniture with bold contemporary art, muted greens with crisp light blues. The result is layered, personal, and full of narrative.”
Desenio’s Stockholm Atelier is a hub of photographers, artists and stylists, creating Scandinavian-style art. They also sometimes riff off of other artists from the past to create pieces that speak to the fashionable home.
